Proprietary materials and substances of confidential nature are exempted from the above requirement (see Section 8.2.3). If not declared, these shall be replaced by a generic term/description of the material/substance and/or a range28 of values (instead of specific values), provided that the applicable rules for declaration of hazardous are followed (see below).
