How this register was built

Requirements are read out of the schemes' own published documents and kept with the page they came from. The numbers below are generated from build 2026-10-05-0439, quality report dated 2026-10-05. Nothing on this page is written by hand except the notes that say so.

Every requirement is checked automatically when it is read, among other things its words against the source document (fidelity, below). A row the checks cannot settle is flagged for a person. “Unreviewed” means the checks raised nothing and no person has yet read the row; it does not mean the row is doubted. “Reviewed” means a person has read the row against the printed page.

The home page counts the product view: the 11,445 requirements that fall on a product, from the 347 documents in scope. The figures here count everything read, including clauses that fall on a project or a company and documents held as context.

What fidelity means

Fidelity is the share of a requirement's five-word phrases that occur in the source PDF. It measures whether the text was taken from the document, not whether the requirement was understood correctly.

GradeRowsShare
verbatim15,26880.9%
close quote2,98315.8%
condensed4882.6%
low overlap1290.7%

What recall does not mean

Recall counts clause numbers the document itself prints and lists. A document scoring 100% had every numbered clause extracted. It does not mean nothing was missed: lettered annexes, unnumbered prose and requirements stated only in tables sit outside the count.

How often a field is actually recorded

A blank field means the document did not state it. It never means the requirement is absent.

Known gaps

Held, outside the product view

  • GOTS and GRTS (textiles) — harvested in full (GOTS v7.0 and v8.1, GRTS v1.0) and excluded from the v1 product view on 2 September 2026: they cover clothing and household textiles. Carpets, textile floor coverings and upholstery remain in scope
  • Apparel-led textile standards of in-scope schemes — Blue Angel DE-UZ 154 Textiles, EU Ecolabel Textile products, Eco Choice Aotearoa Textiles Skins and Leather, GECA Textiles and Leathers - same decision, same date; their schemes' other standards are unaffected

Partly held

  • Green Star (GBCA) rating tools — Buildings and Design & As Built materials credits are held, with their thresholds; other credit categories are not. Responsible Products Values: 192 entries were transcribed by the owner from the GBCA member Score Checker on 13 September 2026, and how each is served depends on whether a public source states it. Where a certifying body publishes its own RPV the value is shown with that source and its date — 20 entries, from GECA's own recognition table, Global GreenTag, the Carpet Institute's ECS standards and EPD Australasia. For the other 172 the band is shown and the value is not published. One of those is a disagreement rather than an absence: GECA's table gives its Adhesives, Fillers and Sealants standard 11 and the Score Checker gives it 9, so the band is shown and both figures recorded. Steel Sustainability Australia, Cradle to Cradle and Eco Choice Aotearoa publish which practice tier they reach rather than a number, and that is recorded against their entries as recognition evidence. Every entry is dated: scores are subject to change, and the current value is GBCA's Score Checker to give, not ours.
  • LEED (USGBC) — the LEED v5 Materials and Resources credits the owner supplied are held - MRp2, MRc2, MRc3 and MRc4 across BD+C New Construction, Core and Shell and ID+C Commercial Interiors - together with the Criteria Areas and Achievement Levels resource that names the certifications each credit accepts. The other LEED categories, the other rating systems and earlier versions are not held: the credit library is account-gated and is not scraped
  • BREEAM — the International New Construction technical manuals are held, v7.1 current and v6.0 superseded. The other BREEAM schemes (Refurbishment and Fit-Out, In-Use, Communities) and the national scheme documents are not held
  • WELL Building Standard — the v2 Materials concept is held - feature X01 and the evidence requirements for X01-X11 - from pages the owner saved; v2 is a web application, not a download, and is not scraped. The other WELL concepts (Air, Water, Light, Movement and the rest) are not held
  • Living Building Challenge — the LBC 4.1 Program Manual is held, together with its WELL crosswalk as context. Declare and the Living Product Challenge are held separately under their own scheme keys
  • GECA — the 22 current GECA standards are held in full. Nine editions GECA has withdrawn are named in withdrawn_standards.csv with zero requirements held: GECA does not publish a copy of any of them, and none was obtained. They are named because GECA still lists a certified product against every one of them, so a certificate or a Green Star Responsible Products entry can cite an edition the register cannot answer for. GECA states that its remaining retired standards are available on request; how many there are is not published, so how much of GECA's history is missing cannot be stated
  • International EPD System (GPI and the construction products PCR) — the General Programme Instructions v5.0.1 and PCR 2019:14 Construction products (v2.0.1 current; v2.0.0, v1.3.4 and v1.11 superseded) are held as rules; complementary PCRs, ECO Platform's own rules and individual product declarations (EPDs themselves) are not
  • EPD Australasia — the Regional Annex to the GPI v4.2 is held as rules; its five Technical Advisory Group guidance notes are held as context, not extracted
  • EN 15804 (CEN) — EN 15804:2012+A2:2019 and EN 15941:2024 (data quality) are held as rules; the other CEN sustainability-of-construction-works standards (EN 15942, EN 15978, EN 17160) are not
  • Health Product Declaration (HPD) — the HPD Open Standard v3.0 is held in full - the format manufacturers use to disclose contents and hazards, and an accepted disclosure route under both LEED v5 MR Credit 4 and WELL v2. Individual published HPDs for products are not held
  • GREENGUARD / UL — UL 2818 for building materials is held, but the purchased copy is front matter only, so its criteria are not in the register; UL 2822 for cleaners is held and out of the built-environment scope. The GREENGUARD and GREENGUARD Gold emission limits themselves are not held
  • Global GreenTag — the Products Standard v4.1 and its superseded v4.0, the NaturePositive+ Declaration Standard v1.0 and the Product Health Declaration Standard (May 2026) are held in full, 1,340 requirements. GreenTag's download form also offers a Cleaning Standard and a Personal Products Standard; neither is held, and both cover product groups outside the built-environment scope. Whether the form's "Building Standard" is the Products Standard under another name has not been established. RIGHTS: these standards are free of charge and are released under a click-through licence limiting use to informing oneself about GreenTag certification, so every GreenTag row is cite_only. The clause reference, the document and a link are shown; the requirement text is not. GreenTag's own terms name written approval from GreenTag as the route to any other use
  • Living Product Challenge (ILFI) — v2.0 is held; the Living Building Challenge is not
  • Climate Active — the Carbon Neutral Standard for Products and Services and the third party validation requirements are held. The organisation, building, precinct and event standards are not; the technical guidance manual and the draft tree-planting guideline are held as context
  • Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) Rating — v2.1 procurement and resource efficiency credits are held; the remaining credit categories are not
  • NABERS — the Embodied Carbon rules are held; the Energy, Water and Waste rating tools are not

Not held

  • Cradle to Cradle certified product listings — the standards are held; individual product certificates are not
  • ISO 14025 / ISO 14067 / ISO 14044 — ISO 14025:2006 and ISO 14067:2018 are held as rules; ISO 14044, ISO/TS 14071 and ISO 14064-3 are held as context only
  • PACT Methodology (WBCSD) — v3.0 is held as rules for calculating, verifying and exchanging cradle-to-gate product carbon footprints; individual product carbon footprints are not held
  • FloorScore — flooring emissions certification
  • Energy Star — energy performance labelling for appliances and ICT; named in the ESP guidance; limited relevance to building materials
  • Rainforest Alliance — agricultural and forestry certification
  • Bluesign / OEKO-TEX — textile chemistry certification
  • AFRDI Green Tick — AFRDI 150 is not published: it is supplied only to applicants who submit the assessment request form, so its criteria cannot be held and are deliberately absent. The public information kit is held for the scheme's structure (points based; levels A/Platinum, B/Gold, C/Silver) and its GBCA recognition mapping
  • EPEAT — ICT product registry; named in the ESP guidance; limited relevance to building materials
  • Energy Rating — Australian appliance energy labelling; named in the ESP guidance; limited relevance to building materials
  • Water Rating Label — Australian WELS water-efficiency labelling; named in the ESP guidance; limited relevance to building materials
  • Eco Mark Program — Japan Environment Association ecolabel; named in the ESP guidance; limited relevance to building materials

Citing and reusing this

The facts in this register may be cited and linked freely with attribution. A clause's words may be quoted where the publisher's terms allow, with the citation; quoted requirement text may not be reproduced in bulk.

Every clause has a permanent address of the form /r/<id>, which resolves to the current published build; adding ?build=<build id> pins it to the build you read. Identifiers survive re-wording, so a citation made today still points at the same clause after the document is revised. Where a scheme's document may not be republished, the page shows the citation and the page number instead of the text, and says so.

Demand-side rows

Rows with market_side='demand' come from rating tools and procurement policies. They bind a project or a buyer, never a product, and must not be presented as product requirements.
