- Pre-consumer and post-consumer recycled content
- Evidence tier
- binding
Per Version 5.0, fuel may not be counted as recycled content. This is an option within the ISCC PLUS standards referred to as "certified energy excluded attribution". This option must have been employed/ selected to receive credit for ISCC PLUS certification. Further, the ISCC PLUS standard must be re-evaluated for C2CPII-recognition in the event the EU Commission determines that petrochemical co-products (other than fuels) may not be counted as recycled content.

- Level required
- Bronze
- Applies to
- Pre-consumer and post-consumer recycled content
- Evidence tier
- binding
The carbon and oxygen content in "low carbon CCU MeOH" that stems from captured post-industrial carbon dioxide can be considered pre-consumer recycled. A point of origin declaration is needed for the captured carbon dioxide.

On the certificate, the material needs to be attributed as "bio" or "bio-circular" only. "Circular" cannot be considered renewable and is out of scope. Recognition does not include responsible sourcing. Additional information on the biological material source is needed to confirm that they do not require responsible sourcing, depending on achievement level. Examples of biological sources that require responsible sourcing from Bronze are wood, oil palm and material from fisheries.
