How it is proven
- Evidence required
- The applicant shall provide a declaration that spare parts shall be available for a period of at least 5 years from the date of delivery of the product. The parts shall be available for free during the guarantee period if the goods are found to be faulty during normal use or at a proportionate cost if the goods were damaged by misuse. Contact information shall be included in consumer information. 9.4. Design for disassembly For furniture consisting of multiple component parts/materials, the product shall be designed for disassembly with a view to facilitating repair, reuse and recycling. Simple and illustrated instructions regarding the disassembly and replacement of damaged component parts/materials shall be provided. Disassembly and replacement operations shall be capable of being carried out using common and basic manual tools and unskilled labour.
