Evidence required
Conformance with this requirement shall be stated in writing, signed by the Chief Executive Officer or other authorised representative of the applicant company/Licence holder. This statement shall be supported by appropriate documentation including: • product specifications; • production methods; • calculations and quality controls; and • initial and ongoing annual reports to The Trust on PVC and plasticisers used. Explanatory notes Regulators have identified the following phthalates to be of concern – dibutyl phthalate (DBP), diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP), butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP), di-n-pentyl phthalate (DnPP), di(2-ethlyhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), di-n-octyl phthalate (DnOP), diisononyl phthalate (DINP) and diisodecyl phthalate (DIDP). These phthalates may be prohibited by the Hazardous Substances criteria in clause 5.6.
